Table Tennis Team Update

2021-22 All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Table Tennis Tournament co-hosted by Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation and Leisure and Cultural Services Department came to an end. There were 311 elite boys and 218 elite girls representing their schools to participate in the competitions. Our girls’ representatives 7E Tina Fong Sum Oi entered the best 16 and 9D Janice Fong Sum Yu entered the best 8 by beating Maryknoll Convert School. Janice finally achieved the 6th place, which was also the best result of A-School Girls Table Tennis Team.

Our A Grade Girls Table Tennis Team members including 12D Leung Cheuk Ka, 11A Chan Yat Chung, 11C Chan Yee Kiu, 9D Fong Sum Yu and 7E Fong Sum Oi, also showed their talent and teamwork in the 2021-22 HKSSF Shatin & Sai Kung Secondary Schools Inter-school Table tennis Competition. Our team entered the final preliminary round with the second place in the group. In the final round, our A Grade girls showed stronger spirit and determination, we defeated the strong opponents including Pui Kiu College, Jockey Club Ti-I College. In the final match, we met Lam Tai Fai College again after we lost in the preliminary round, and our team was able to perform our best to win by the score of 3-0 and won the Champion this year! The result marked the best record in the history of A-School Girls Table Tennis Team.

We believe that great team spirit is the key to success and our girls will certainly continue to get well prepared for the next challenge!
