Highlights of Academic Activities

Sharing by the China Manned Space delegation

It was our honour that we received the China Manned Space delegation. The delegation shared with our students about the lives and valuable experiences of astronauts in space and the plan for space exploration. It was an eye-opening experience for our students.

The aims of the Science (G7-9) curriculum are to enable students to:

  • develop curiosity and interest in science;
  • acquire fundamental scientific knowledge and skills, and appreciate the relationship between science and other disciplines;
  • develop the ability to make scientific investigation and solve problems;
  • use the language of science to communicate science-related ideas;
  • develop a basic understanding of the nature of science;
  • develop the ability to integrate and apply scientific knowledge and skills with other related disciplines;
  • recognise the social, ethical, economic, environmental and technological implications of science, and develop an attitude of responsible citizenship and a commitment to promote personal and community health;
  • be prepared for further studies in STEAM-related disciplines; and
  • become lifelong learners in science for personal development.

G7 Life Wide Learning Day

Visiting Hong Kong Wetland Park is fun! On the G7 Life Wide Learning Day, students were required to complete a series of tasks so that they could earn the most points in the inter-group competition as well as learn more about the habitats of the living things in Wetland Park.

“During this fun and exciting (Life Wide Learning) day, we embarked to see all the exotic and fabulous creatures of Hong Kong Wetland Park and let ourselves gain knowledge about nature. We also trained our mindsets to cook food and share with others, this has been such a wonderful learning experience!” (7D 31 Sun Yulin)

Visiting Hong Kong Observatory

A group of G11 Physics students visited the Hong Kong Observatory, gaining insights into its history and daily work. They witnessed weather forecasting and technology in action, tracing the Observatory's 140-year development. The tour enlightened them about weather forecasting and geophysics while exploring the Observatory's surroundings.
