News date

For the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic, our choral singers travelled to Singapore for the 7th Singapore International Choral Festival and received a Gold Award for in Category B1- Mixed Voices, 19 years and below.

The newly formed A-Singers belted off tuneful notes in their performance that impressed not only the members of A-School community in various occasions like Spring Concert, Variety Show, but the judges of the Singaporean competition were also enchanted by their melodious euphony.

This flight to Singapore did not land only on the competition. The troupe took part in other choral exchange activities with their foreign counterparts and brought home valuable experience to grow musically.

Our school vocalists and music artists underwent major reform this school year. The A-Singers were composed of talented and passionate warblers who share an enthusiastic quest for choral music. Prior to the international triumph, they had won first prizes or gold awards in all competitions they participated in this year, including the Joint-School Music Competition, International Young Musicians Music Competition, Wien, and Hong Kong International Music Festival.
