Golden ticket to Grand Final - English Debating Team

Our school's English Debating Team has just defeated Wah Yan College (Kowloon) in the semi-finals of the 37th Sing Tao Inter-school Debating Competition with a score of 2 to 1. Melody Lin has received both the Best Debater Award and Best Interrogative Debater Award of this round.

Sing Tao Inter-school Debating Competition is one of the most large-scale and prestigious debating tournaments in Hong Kong. This year, there is a total of 108 schools and we have defeated some of the greatest giants along the way - including Marymount Secondary School (1st Preliminary), Queen's College (2nd Preliminary), St. Paul's Co-educational College (3rd Preliminary), Bishop Hall Jubilee School (Quarter-finals) and Wah Yan College Kowloon (Semi-finals). What the students have displayed is not just a high level of English proficiency, but also much critical thinking towards social issues and sensitivity towards statistics.

The Grand Final will be held on 4th May, 2022, at Queen Elizabeth Stadium tentatively. We will face St. Margaret Co-Educational English Secondary School and Primary School. Let's hope for more good news to come!
