2017/18 Top School Award of Young Friends of the Hong Kong Arts Festival

A-School is awarded the “2017/18 Top School Award” of Young Friends of the Hong Kong Arts Festival, in recognition of our strong support and promotion of arts education, in the prize presentation ceremony at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on March 16, 2019.

Young Friends is an integrated arts education and audience development programme designed to nurture students’ interest in the arts. As a member of Young Friends, A-School has been devoted to promoting the international arts performances to our students. Among 156 secondary schools participating in the Young Friends, we are one of the seven schools with the highest number of members, attendance rate and best performance to receive the award.

After the ceremony, students were invited to enjoy the exciting performance “From Classic to Future” by the internationally renowned percussionist Li Biao and his ensemble. It was an eye-opening concert that allowed students to learn and explore the beauty of percussion music!
