🔓Unlocking the Secrets of the Brain: Grade 10 Explores Neuroscience
We were honored to welcome Dr. Alex C. Koon from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) for an enlightening popular science talk titled “Lessons from Tiny Teachers: What Fruit Flies Have Taught Us About Learning and Memory”.
In his presentation to our Grade 10 students, Dr. Koon delved into the complex world of neuroscience, explaining how billions of neurons communicate to form the memories that define our existence. The lecture effectively bridged the gap between fundamental research and its critical applications in clinical and educational settings.
Our students exhibited exceptional engagement, asking insightful questions about memory enhancement and neurodegenerative treatments. We are incredibly proud of their intellectual curiosity. We sincerely hope this inspiring session sparks a lasting passion for discovery, encouraging our students to continue exploring the fascinating frontiers of neuroscience and related scientific fields in their future academic and professional journeys. #HKBUAS #Neuroscience #FruitFlies
