🎥 What did students and teachers take away from the Mock CPPCC? Hear it from them

News date

We're proud to host the 2nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Mock CPPCC Proposal Exhibition this July! With 28 teams from across the Greater Bay Area joining us this year under the theme of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the event enables young people to experience “whole-process people’s democracy” firsthand. We invite you to see what makes this event so impactful. But don’t just take our word for it—watch the video to hear directly from our students and teacher who participated in last year’s inaugural event.

In the video, they share:

  • How they went from knowing little about the CPPCC to stepping into roles as proposal writers, spokespersons and researchers
  • The challenge of turning a 1,000-word proposal into a powerful 3-minute presentation
  • What it really means to experience "whole-process people's democracy" through interviews, data analysis and cross-sector consultations

🌟 Watch the video to see their journey—and hear why this experience matters.
A student shared, “through Zoom, we interviewed several Hong Kong youths who have achieved success through entrepreneurship on the Mainland. We integrated their experiences and suggestions into our research report, hoping to provide references for young people who may want to start businesses in the Greater Bay Area in the future.”

Our teacher also appreciated the efforts made by our students, “students usually learn the concept of ‘whole-process people’s democracy’ from textbooks. But this time, they experienced it end-to-end—conducting research, interviews, and questionnaire surveys, using real data to write their proposals, and then negotiating and refining them with different sectors during the Model CPPCC activities. The learning was truly rich and rewarding.”

This event is not only a competition, but also a meaningful civic education experience. We hope this video helps you appreciate the value and excitement of what’s to come.
