Student-led Conferences - Let Our Students Fly (Primary Division)

News date

Our first term student-led conferences took place last Friday and Saturday. As always, we put our students' needs as our top priority and continued to provide the student-led conference experience for our students even under pandemic conditions with preparation being done through an online mode. Although the preparation was not perfect, students put in a lot of effort to work together with their class teachers. Our teachers' strong commitment and love for their students is admirable while students also greatly deserved our recognition of their positive attitude and effort. The three-way conferences involving students, teachers, and parents had the students taking the lead in demonstrating reflection on their learning process in the first term. Confidently, they presented their work, and talked about the short-term and long-term S.M.A.R.T. goals that they set for themselves. It was a joy to see each and every child, right from our youngest learners in first grade to our middle schoolers, talking about their own character strengths and showing gratitude towards their parents. Keeping in line with our school vision of whole-person development, the success of our student-led conferences definitely lies in the link between academics, student development, and value education.
