Robofest International Competition

News date

We are thrilled to share that 4E Cheng Yat Long and 5C Sze Long Hei represented Hong Kong, China, in the ROBOFEST International Competition held at Lawrence Technological University in Detroit, USA! Despite facing travel challenges, including flight delays, our talented students demonstrated incredible resilience. Arriving just in time, they participated in the Unknown Mission Challenge the next day, where they had to build and code a LEGO robot to complete multiple tasks that were revealed only on competition day. This challenge truly tested their skills and ingenuity! Their positive attitude and determination to overcome obstacles during the competition exemplify the PERCCI values of perseverance and commitment.

This opportunity transcends competition; it is about growth, friendship, and pushing the boundaries of innovation. With the valuable experiences gained from this international event, we look forward to seeing our LEGO Robotics Team students bring their enthusiasm for robotics to future competitions!

4E Cheng Yat Long shares, "This experience has taught me the importance of teamwork and staying calm under pressure. Talking to participants from other countries was the best part—I learned about their cultures and robotic skills from the competition, and most importantly, we built friendships through robotics."

According to 5C Sze Long Hei, "Participating in ROBOFEST in the USA has been an incredible journey. We have gained valuable experience from our first overseas competition. I am proud that we tried our best and enjoyed the full experience by completing all the tasks in the competition. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the ROBOFEST International Competition."
