Grade 6 Student Excels at German Goethe-Institut Read-Aloud Festival
We are delighted to announce that Cyrus Poon, an Advanced German student from Grade 6, earned second place in the German Read-Aloud Festival organized by the Goethe-Institut. The festival aims to promote read-aloud competence among German learners, as well as to foster appreciation for the German language and culture in schools.
After successfully passing the preliminary round, Cyrus was selected to participate in an online read-aloud workshop before advancing to the final. During the final round, he gave a compelling reading from selected pages of the 31-page story Der Vogel in mir fliegt, wohin er will (The Bird Within Me Flies Where It Wills).
We are incredibly proud of Cyrus for his dedication and achievement, which showcases both his advanced language skills and his deep cultural appreciation.
