Class Cultural Day (Primary Division)

News date

Do you know the best way to start the New Year? Of course, it will be a joyful and exciting Class Cultural Day filled with lots of activities like House Meetings, Social Emotional Learning Activities, and Disability inclusion activities.

This New Year has started nicely with an exciting House Meeting. A big ‘Thank You’ to our wonderful House Wardens, captains, and all committee members for their concerted efforts in organizing the meeting. Hooray! Instead of House mini games, we could have a taste of a real house meeting after two year of suspension. Everyone wore their House tees to show their unity and cheered  till they were hoarse for their House. They played games and faced and overcame challenges while cooperating with their Housemates from different grades.

We also had social emotional learning games in the classroom. Getting to know our friends at school is great, but learning how to get along with everyone in order to create a harmonious atmosphere in school is important too. Through the super fun card game, students could learn how to distinguish good and bad manners to maintain good etiquette in daily life.

We have embedded the development of a growth mindset in our Life Education Programme activities for G4 today. A speaker from Hong Kong PHAB Association came to share with our students his life journey from childhood. Students learned about the challenges Mr. Ng faced and how he still leads a fruitful and meaningful life despite having certain constraints. We hope listening to the life stories of different people and engaging in a series of simulation activities to experience blindness or physically-handicapped can improve our students’ AQ to further enhance their growth mindset .

From cheering and competing in the House meeting to the exciting SEL games in the classroom, our joy and excitement filled the whole school creating a wonderful atmosphere. We can’t wait for the next Class Cultural Day!
