🏅🎭 Winning Debut for A-Players Stars🌟🎉

A-Players are a newly-formed English Drama Team comprising 30 students from Grades 3 and 4, and they made an excellent debut in their first-ever external competition. In the Rehearsed Original Scene (Primary) event as part of the HKSMSA Schools Speech Festival, the team walked away with both the Champion and 2nd Runner-up. 🏆

The adjudicator, Dr. Julian Lamb, was particularly impressed with the “very talented” A-Players, their “amazing energy”, and their “beautiful performances – funny, full of energy, and thoughtful”. Dr. Lamb even exemplified some of the winning team’s strategies – including voice projection, facial expressions, and teamwork  – for competitors to learn from. 🎭

Special thanks should be given to the Parent Volunteers, who spent weeks conceptualizing the hair, make-up, costumes, and props for our students. Let’s give another round of applause for the A-Players’ first dramatic foray, and we look forward to their upcoming performances! 👏
