Special Vacation Activity: Silent Teacher Seminar cum Virtual Visit of CUHK Autopsy Theatre

News date

A-School students are always encouraged to learn beyond boundaries. 72 of our science students participated in the seminar about Silent Teacher Body Donation Programme (無言老師遺體捐贈計劃), a very meaningful programme organized by the CUHK Medical School.

At the same time, our students were given a chance to have a virtual visit to the Autopsy Theatre. Through this visit, our students not only learned what an autopsy theatre is like but also had a lesson about life and death.

CUHK launched the “Silent Teachers” body donation programme in 2011 to encourage the public to donate bodies after death to medical education and training. In addition to offering students precious medical training opportunities, the body donors also help them understand the importance of humanitarian values in medical practice.
