Endangered Species Exhibition Centre

News date

The School received a considerable number of specimens of endangered species from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) to establish the “Endangered Species Exhibition Centre” for conservation and education purpose.

The specimens were confiscated by AFCD during law enforcement action over a period of time.  AFCD would like to make educational use of these specimens through donation to schools.

The Endangered Species Exhibition Centre located on SS 5/F provides a space for students to take a closer look at the specimens with the aim to enhance their knowledge on endangered species and the over-exploitation as a result of international trade.

The Centre also shows how our natural resources are being over-exploited with a view to promoting the awareness about conservation and protection of endangered species as well as the natural environment.   Students can reflect on their personal choice of consumption and adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle.
