19th Hong Kong Parliamentary Debating Society Summer Workshop & Tournament 2023
We are thrilled to announce that our school has been honoured with the opportunity to host the prestigious 19th Hong Kong Parliamentary Debating Society Summer Workshop & Tournament 2023 (HKPDS 2023) during the summer holiday. Organised by the renowned Mr. Loke Wing Fatt, a prominent figure in British Parliamentary Debate, HKPDS 2023 proved to be an extraordinary experience for all participants.
Over the years, HKPDS has found its home in esteemed institutions such as HKU, CityUHK, HKPU, and Lingnan University, leaving a lasting impact on the academic debating community with numerous participants achieving remarkable success.
This year, we were privileged to have Dr. Brian Wong as our keynote speaker. Dr. Wong, a Kwok Brothers Scholar and Rhodes Scholar, completed his PhD in Philosophy at the University of Oxford and currently serves as an assistant professor of moral philosophy at HKU. His presence served as an inspiration to the aspiring debaters we aim to nurture.
From 13th to 19th August, we witnessed an incredible gathering of over 100 passionate debaters from across the globe. Participants from Mainland China, Macau, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Singapore joined us for an exhilarating week of intellectual discourse and personal growth. The event featured experienced trainers from top universities worldwide, who dedicated themselves to coaching participants and refining their oratory skills.

Building on our recent triumph as the Sing Tao Inter-school Debating Competition Champion for two consecutive years, we believe it is the perfect time to introduce our students to debates with international formats. As we move forward, we remain committed to empowering the next generation of debaters and shaping future leaders.
