The Secondary Chinese Drum Team participated in the 16th Hong Kong Synergy 24 Drum Competition on October 13 and won the 1st Runner-up and the Best Formation Award in the category of Middle/Secondary School and Tertiary Institute of School (Greater China) Section.

After months of tough practice and a summer training trip to Jiangzhou, Shanxi (山西絳州), the cradle of Chinese drum, our young percussion talents gathered at Tsim Sha Tsui Harbourfront and performed their own selection of combination from the 24 Drumming Routines and original choreographic moves.  Our students’ hard work and effort did not go in vain.  They delivered a powerful performance with uniformity and rhythmic precision that earned them the titles and an unforgettable experience.

The 16th Hong Kong Synergy 24 Drum Competition co-organized by Hong Kong Culture Festival and Hong Kong Drum Festival is one of the largest drum competitions in Hong Kong.
