International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) Achievements (Primary Division)

News date

Every year, our students are given the opportunity to take part in the International Competitions and Assessments for School (ICAS), which are word-class school assessments designed to recognize and award academic excellence in the fields of English, Science and Mathematics.

The ICAS assessments present challenges to our students in modern, real world scenarios. Students are assessed on their ability to use higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills to extend and apply classroom learning to new contexts. A-School students have risen to the challenge and obtained impressive results in ICAS assessments. The top 1% of candidates in each year level in Hong Kong are awarded High Distinction. Twelve students have been awarded High Distinction in ICAS English, four students in ICAS Mathematics and six students in Science.

Students with the top score in each subject in each level in Hong Kong are awarded a medal and a medal winner’s certificate. We are proud that five of our students are the medalists in the ICAS assessment with two students received the medal in Science, two in Mathematics, and one in English. Congratulations to Cheung Chup Shun, Chan Chung Hei, Fu Ching Yee, Zhang Shun, and Wong Chaak Sin, Jethro!
