A group of students from Grade 4 to 6 embarked on an excursion to the historic Tao Fong Shan Christian Centre in Sha Tin. Eager to explore, the young crowd first dived into the Virtual Reality 3D tour of the Centre before encountering the majestic Christ Temple—a site that beautifully merges Eastern and Western cultures—in person.

Next, the students walked quietly into the peaceful Angel Garden. Surrounded by lush greenery and a calm atmosphere, they listened intently to the tour guide explaining that this special, quiet cemetery honors lost lives with deep respect, teaching them the core values of love and empathy. Moving forward, the children immersed themselves in the stone Labyrinth. 👣 Walking single-file along its winding, continuous loops, the students happily practised mindfulness, learning to slow down their active thoughts away from the busy city. Beside the path, they gathered around the tranquil Lotus Pond, observing the blooming flowers. 🪷 The journey reached its magnificent peak at the iconic Big Cross. Standing forty feet tall at the edge of the hill, the massive monument offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the Sha Tin valley below.

This memorable field trip provided the students with more than just a historical lesson; it sparked a profound reflection on the meaning of life. Standing beneath the giant cross and looking down at the tiny, bustling buildings below, the young students realised that life is not merely about rushing through daily routines or chasing material success. Instead, much like the purposeful path of the labyrinth or the resilient blossoming of the lotus, the true meaning of life lies in cherishing every moment, showing compassion to others, and finding inner peace in Jesus Christ. ✝️
