🌟 Dr. Robert Lam – Preparing for University in the Age of AI 🌟

On November 4, we were honored to host a seminar led by Dr. Robert Lam, Senior Consultant (Further Studies), who has been guiding students and advising parents on university pathways at A-School for over 16 years. We are deeply grateful for his wisdom, which has helped many students pursue pathways aligned with their passions and strengths, supported steadfastly by their parents.

Dr. Lam highlighted that in today’s fast-changing world, every year brings new challenges and opportunities—with AI at the heart of this transformation. From reshaping industries to redefining education, AI is influencing how students learn, how universities adapt, and how careers evolve. To thrive, we must be lifelong learners and build strong foundations. He also reminded us that parents should act as coaches rather than mentors: coaching means identifying and nurturing children’s unique strengths, while mentoring often focuses on sharing our own experiences.

The evening was further enriched by our Chief Principal, Dr. Benjamin Chan, MH, who passionately shared that as parents, our role is to inspire children to chase their dreams and to surpass our own achievements in their own unique way—not simply to follow in our footsteps.
