[Play Day Series] 🧗🏻Grade 6 - Thrills and Teamwork🤝🏻

What an adventurous and rewarding day it was for the Grade 6 students at the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong New Territories Centre! The students embraced every challenge with remarkable enthusiasm, fearlessly tackling high-level activities such as the Wood Ladder, PEG Wall Climbing, and the Lizard Wall. It was incredible to witness their courage as they pushed their personal limits while continuously supporting one another.

Beyond the physical feats, the group engaged in fantastic team games specifically designed to foster growth:

• Strengthening Team Spirit: Building strong, cooperative bonds.
• Sharpening Problem-Solving Skills: Collaborating to overcome strategic hurdles.
• Enhancing Effective Communication: Learning the value of clear instructions and trust.

The energy throughout the day was infectious! The students walked away not only with great memories of their achievements but also with a stronger sense of teamwork and self-confidence.

A huge thank you to all the instructors for guiding this experience and to the Grade 6 students for making it such a memorable day!

This is my last year in the Primary division. The Play Day is one of the most memorable days of the year. We learnt the importance of teamwork throughout the day in the YMCA Centre. Every activity we had was delightful. The instructors arranged incredibly challenging activities, including rock climbing, a rope course, and even a balancing course. Not only did these activities build our courage, but they also taught us about safety and efficiency. Overall, this Play Day was one of the most thrilling and innovative experiences.

Today is our school’s Play Day, and I feel very excited and curious. During Play Day, I visited the YMCA camp to learn new things while having a great time. We played many climbing and balancing games that required a lot of teamwork. At first, it was very challenging, but when my friends cheered me on and helped me, I regained my strength and finally succeeded. This Play Day was enjoyable, and I wish we could have Play Day in Secondary School as well.
