News date

A group of G11 Physics students visited the Hong Kong Observatory on 1 December 2024 which was an enriching experience for them. They learned about the history and development of the Observatory, as well as the daily work of the Scientific Officers there.  They were able to witness how weather forecasts were made and how technology was put to use. In addition, the students were taken back in time in a guided tour to trace the development of the Observatory over the past 140 years.  All of them gained valuable insights into forecasting the weather of Hong Kong and geophysics and had a great time exploring the Observatory’s surroundings.
