Recognizing Young Innovators: Awards for Students in OTIS Made to Move Communities Challenge

A number of our students joined the “OTIS Made to Move Communities Student Challenge” this academic year and accomplished encouraging achievements!

“OTIS Made to Move Communities Student Challenge” is an international competition with the participation of 230 students across 15 countries and territories and A-School is the representative of the Hong Kong region. With the guidance of OTIS mentors and A-School teachers between Oct 2022 and Feb 2023, students developed innovative solutions based on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) that they believe can mitigate some of the obstacles to real-world mobility issues. They have presented their solutions to the OTIS managing directors and presidents in different regions via Teams Meeting on March 2, 2023. Both teams have received the Honourable Mentions Awards and each team has earned US$5000 grants for A-School to further enhance STEM programming development and benefit more students in the future. The students will receive their awards at the closing ceremony on May 4, 2023. Congratulations and a special thanks to the principals and A-School teacher mentors for their support and care throughout the journey.
