HKISMUN VI

Twenty-nine Excel33 members spent the past weekend, 13-14 January 2024, at the exquisite Hong Kong International School campus, with many of them making their MUN debuts. Allocated to 7 different councils, they were able to tap into the complexity of many pressing world issues while meeting new acquaintances along the way. After two busy conference days, both 11D Tang Hau In and 9B Tsoi Shing Hin garnered the Best Delegate awards in the International Court of Justice and European Union Committees respectively. 9C Poon Ching also won the Honorable Mention in the Disarmament and International Security Committee.

Given that nearly 300 students had signed up for the conference and only a handful of awards were given out, our students certainly have done us proud. Acknowledging that all participants have shown their ability and potential in developing leadership skills, public speaking, research and writing skills, conflict resolution, and cooperation, let’s congratulate them for their exceptional performance and look forward to their accomplishing more amazing achievements in the future.
