We were honoured to have Mr. Leo Yam from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) Exchange Fund Investment Office share great industry knowledge with our G6 students on 12 December, 2022.

Through interactive sharing, our students learnt more about the role and functions of HKMA. They are looking forward to visiting the Exhibition area that introduces the development of money and banking in Hong Kong.

Mr. Yam shared the concept of Big Data and Metaverse, highlighting the three main characteristics of Big Data which are volume, velocity and variety. Students got to know how data was collected and why it matters nowadays. Following that we dived into the evolution of web and Blockchain Technology. Students were excited to discover the technology used to access the Metaverse in video games and the wonders it can create.
