Embracing Diversity: Highlights from Our Language Week 🗣️

On January 14, the Modern Language Department hosted a vibrant Language Week designed to ignite a passion for global communication and expose our students to the beauty of diverse traditions. Our goal was to demonstrate that learning a language is a gateway to the world!✨

Our campus transformed into a global hub with interactive booths. The French corner challenged students with matching games and visual quizzes to test their logic. 💭 In the Japanese section, students experienced a serene Matcha demonstration alongside traditional Wagashi and had the opportunity to try on "Happi" festival costumes.👘

Our external partners infused incredible energy into the event. The Dante Alighieri Society organized an Italian "Pizza" making race and a gesture mime quiz. The Consulate of Germany and Goethe-Institut captivated everyone with a "Haribo Memory Match" and a Swiss geography challenge featuring Toblerone treats. Meanwhile, Spanish World engaged students through high-energy Kahoot competitions and digital games focused on colors and numbers.

The festivities culminated in a rhythmic Latino dance session led by Ballroombees, bringing the entire community together through movement.💃🏻 These immersive experiences not only sparked a lifelong curiosity in our students to explore new languages but also fostered a greater appreciation for global citizenship.
