Cultural Connections: Grade 3 Students Engage in Experiential Learning

最新消息日期

This year, our 3rd Graders embark on their PBL learning journey with a new theme, “Cultural Connections”.

Each class has a set of essential questions related to different cultural connections. They visited the Taipingshan Medical Heritage Trail, and Hong Kong Museum of Medical Science, to learn about the community’s medical history and heritage. They also visited the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, and Hong Kong Film Archive, to connect with their cultural roots. Through immersive and hands-on experiences, they discovered the stories behind local toy traditions, historical artifacts, as well as local film history.

They had the chance to travel to Tai O, where they interacted with local residents and appreciated the vibrant culture firsthand. They also attended a cultural seminar and workshop on "Domestic Helper Appreciation Day". This initiative aimed to promote cross-cultural understanding, enhance communication, and cultivate a sense of care, ultimately contributing to a more harmonious and inclusive society.

As part of our P-Term (June 9 – July 5, 2025), these unique experiences provide students with the opportunity to engage in experiential, inquiry-based learning, helping to strengthen their critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills.
