Selamat Tinggal, Malaysia: Culture, Connection & Community!

最新消息日期

Our students have returned from an incredible 5-day educational excursion to Kuala Lumpur! From heartfelt community service to immersive cultural experiences, this journey was packed with learning, laughter, and lasting memories. 🛫
Highlights of the Trip:
🏡 Community Service with Heart: We visited the Ti-Ratana Welfare Society elderly home, where students sang songs, played games, celebrated June birthdays, and served meals. They even presented handmade massage hammers to the residents—a truly meaningful experience that reminded us how small actions mean so much. ❤️ "My favorite part of the tour was visiting the elderly center, because it was meaningful and it brought joy to the elderly. I learned that some of our small actions mean a lot to others." — Martin Ng
🎨 Cultural Exchange: At UCSI International School, our students connected with peers through icebreakers, traditional games like Congkak and Takraw, clay durian crafting, and a shared cultural showcase. New friendships were formed across borders!
🏫 Heritage & History: We explored the Islamic Arts Museum, National Museum, National Palace, and Malaysian Chinese Museum—gaining deep insights into Malaysia's rich multicultural tapestry and the contributions of its diverse communities.
🪜 Iconic Landmarks: We marveled at the Petronas Twin Towers, climbed the colourful 272 steps of Batu Caves (watch out for the monkeys!), and visited the stunning Pink Mosque.
🛠️ Hands-On Fun: From a pewter workshop at Royal Selangor (students engraved their own name on a container!) to a chocolate-making session, creativity was in full swing.
We're so proud of our students for their curiosity, respect, and enthusiasm throughout this journey. They truly embodied the spirit of global learners! 🌍
