🖌️From Experience to Expression: Showcasing Dunhuang-Inspired Creativity in Visual Arts🌸

The inspiring learning journey of Ms. Venus Chun, our Visual Arts teacher, has culminated in our students’ participation in the exhibition “Expanding the Splendour of Xi'an and Dunhuang–Exhibition of Visual Arts Teaching Unit and Learning Outcomes” organized by the Arts Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute, Education Bureau.

Last year, Ms. Chun attended the Xi’an and Dunhuang Arts and Culture Study Tour for Visual Arts Teachers, a transformative experience that deepened her appreciation for Dunhuang’s artistic traditions and sparked innovative ideas for her teaching. 🎨🖌️Upon returning, Ms. Chun eagerly shared her insights with our Grade 3 to 4 students. She encouraged them to explore how ancient motifs can be reimagined through modern mixed-media techniques. This engaging approach not only connected cultural heritage with contemporary creativity but also fostered confidence in the students' artistic expressions. 🖼️

The exhibition beautifully embodied a meaningful cycle of learning and teaching–Ms. Chun drew inspiration from her tour, shared it with her students, and together they created artworks that celebrated both tradition and innovation. ✨
