<<Grade 6 Students Win Global STEAM Competition👏🏻>>

最新消息日期

We are excited to announce that three Grade 6 students have won the Great Bay Area session of the “Do Your:bit” STEAM Competition, a prestigious global contest for students in grades K-12👍🏻. Their innovative project features the groundbreaking use of micro:bit technology within a virtual reality (VR) interactive environment.

Inspired by the pioneering work from Votanic, an HKU subsidiary specialising in VR, Milton Lam, Lucas Chen and Alwin Chan expertly integrated micro:bit technology into a VR setting, creating tailored training programs for students with special educational needs (SEN). This initiative highlights their commitment to inclusivity and educational innovation.

Through extensive research, interviews and support from dedicated professionals such as our former Educational Psychologist, Ms. Hue and Social Worker from the Primary Division, Ms. Angela Lee, the team developed two impactful training modules: a breathing exercise and a focus training program for SEN students.

The micro:bit has become an essential part of our Primary Division STEAM curriculum, and we are committed to exploring its potential in future STEAM activities. This initiative will empower students to deepen their understanding of control technology, the Internet of Things, and Machine Learning in AI.
