<<🌟 Exciting News! Term P Begins with a Bang in Our PBL Journey! 🌟>>

We are thrilled to kick off Term P! Our mission is to connect our students with the community and the wider world through inspiring projects filled with invention, innovation, and real-world solutions. Together, we’re empowering the next generation of changemakers! 💡✨

We are incredibly grateful to the many passionate experts, professionals, and partners who generously dedicate their time to conduct inspiring sharings, seminars, and hands-on workshops. Your support makes all the difference!

This term, we proudly joined the Shaw STEAMS for Good project and launched our Grade 5-6 Local Project in collaboration with PolyU J.C.DISI, focusing on Entrepreneurship and STEAM. These initiatives aim to create genuine, positive impact in our community through creativity and design thinking.

To launch Term P in style, we had the great honour of inviting Prof. KWONG Yee Lan Elaine, Associate Professor in the Department of Language Science and Technology at PolyU and Associate Director of the Research Institute for Smart Ageing (RISA).

Her training was especially meaningful, as one of the Grade 5 project focuses is The Role of Nutrition in Healthy Ageing. Teachers received valuable hands-on training, while students had the opportunity to prepare soft foods for the elderly themselves. 

 Key highlights included:
Texture modification following IDDSI standards (pureed, minced & moist, soft & bite-sized)
Important criteria: moist, tender, easy to swallow, nutrient-rich, and visually appealing
Key concerns & best practices: reducing choking and aspiration risks (especially for dysphagia patients), maintaining nutritional balance, enhancing flavours, and preserving dignity during mealtimes

Through this enriching professional development, our teachers gained practical insights they can now bring back to the classroom. This “learning by doing” approach perfectly reflects our vision of experiential, student-centred education.
