The 21st Century Cup National English Speaking Competition Awards Ceremony 2026 was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre last Saturday, 9 May. Organized by China Daily and co-organized by VDO English, this year’s district contests attracted over 1,300 students from across all 18 districts of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong regional final featured 72 contestants competing across six categories—from kindergarten and junior primary to senior primary, junior secondary, senior secondary, and the university level.

🏆CHOW Wing Ching Kady (Grade 6) — Best Impromptu Speaker Award
🥈 MAK Ching Ling Averie (Grade 6) — First Runner-up (Senior Primary Category) 

Bringing together around 400 guests, including students and their families, the event celebrated the voice, confidence and inspiring talent of Hong Kong’s young English-speaking orators.
