Chinese Debating Team’s Victory in the Basic Law Cup Preliminary Round🎊

Our Chinese Debating Team triumphed over Queen Elizabeth School Old Students' Association Secondary School (伊利沙伯中學舊生會中學) in the preliminary round of the Positive Thinking “Basic Law”—Hong Kong Inter-School Debating Competition (Basic Law Cup)（正向思維《基本法》—全港中學生辯論賽 (基本法盃)）.

The topic was “Increasing public hospital A&E charges by the Hong Kong government has more benefits than drawbacks （港府增加公立醫院急症室收費利多於弊）”, and our team, arguing the negative, won with a score of 2:1. 👏🏻

The team members—7C CHEUNG Tsz Kiu, 8A CHAN Chi Hang Jace, 8D LIU Kwan, and 10C CHEUK Ka Him Torres—delivered outstanding rebuttals, coherent arguments, and a thorough comparison of the pros and cons. Their strategic depth and clarity under pressure secured this hard-fought victory.

This win marks our third success this year—a testament to the team’s dedication and growth. We remain committed to striving for excellence.
