Students’ Achievements – Award in The 22nd St. Cecilia International Music Competition 2017

Apart from academic enhancement, we are dedicated to nurturing the aesthetic development of students. Recently, 3 students have demonstrated their great talents in music and received awards from The 22nd St. Cecilia International Music Competition 2017.

The 22nd St. Cecilia International Music Competition 2017 is organised by St. Cecilia School of Music, which is internationally renowned for its excellence in music assessments, examining and teaching, and the event is now a popular festival for music students in Hong Kong.

Here is their sharing:

9A Leung Sum Yee Danielle
Champion, Own Choices Piano Solo Class

In my previous competition experience, I learnt a lot from my failure. My parents supported me throughout the journey, and after years of practice, I finally became one of the champions in music competitions. I am also grateful for having amazing music teachers. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to win this champion.

9D Tsui Natalie Wan Man
Champion, Final Round of Woodwind Family Class

I felt very honored to enter the finals as I could meet other competitors and learn from their techniques. This was an unforgettable experience since this was the first international music competition I've ever joined. It gave me confidence for establishing the musical path in my future.

11C Cheung Hoi Yi
1st Runner-up, Own Choices Piano Solo Class
