Grade 9 Subject Selection Seminar

News date

Subject selection is one of the most important decisions in life, as it may influence one’s choice of university and even career.

In general, all Grade 10 students are required to study 4 core subjects and 2-3 elective subjects in order to meet the basic admission requirements of local universities. After finishing Grade 10, students may continue with their local curriculum leading to the HKDSE examination, or switch to a 2-year non-local curriculum leading to the GCE A-level examination.

A webinar on subject selection was arranged for Grade 9 students and parents on March 26, 2021. It was kicked off by a general introduction to the senior grade curriculum by Deputy Principal, Mr. Eric Lo, then followed by an explanation of the administrative procedures by Senior Vice Principal, Ms. Claudia Liu, and finally an introduction to the curriculum and assessment requirement of each subject by subject panel heads.  It is believed that students will be able to make their decisions on subject selection wisely with the information and advice provided.
