Incredible Student Achievement in Engineering!

On July 19, 2024, four brilliant 11D students (Nathan Heilun CHAN, Walter Wan Tak LAM, Cindy Tsz Yee LEE and Karen Wai Yan SHUM) showcased their engineering prowess at the "Structural Engineering Competition for the Youth: Paper Tower Crane Challenge". This event, co-organized by the Structural Division of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, HKU's Department of Civil Engineering, and THEi's Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, was a true test of skill and creativity.

Throughout the competition, our students worked independently, demonstrating remarkable self-reliance and ingenuity. Their hard work finally paid off spectacularly, earning them the following accolades:
 First Runner-up
 Commendation on Lightest
 Commendation on Aesthetic and Innovative

Their paper tower crane stood out for its impressive structural integrity, lightweight design, and innovative aesthetics. While our teachers provided guidance during the preparation phase, the students' success on competition day was entirely their own achievement.
