🎉 Congratulations to Our Table Tennis Teams on their Amazing Achievements at the All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Tournament! 🏓

Our school’s table tennis teams in both the Primary and Secondary Divisions participated in the All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Table Tennis Tournament, which kicked off its first round on September 30, 2024. Many talented players from schools across Hong Kong participated in this highly competitive event, making it a thrilling and valuable experience for every player involved. We are excited to share and celebrate the outstanding performances of our table tennis players at this tournament! 🌟

Outstanding Results in the Primary Division:

Girls Singles:
👏G6 Zheng Yiran Ruby displayed incredible perseverance and determination throughout the entire competition. After intense matches in the first and second rounds, she eventually advanced to the finals on October 21. In the final match, Ruby showcased her skilled and precise play, defeating her opponent from Heep Yunn Primary School with a score of 3-0, without losing a single game, and ultimately won the championship!🥇

Boys Singles:
🌟G6 Ji Lunxi Janson had a smooth journey from the preliminary rounds to the semifinals. Facing a strong opponent from Diocesan Boys’ School Primary Division in the semifinal match, Janson fought through an exciting and intense match, ultimately winning with a score of 3-2 and advancing to the finals. In the finals, he faced challenges once again against a very strong rival. Despite falling behind several times, Janson managed to withstand the pressure, caught up on points, and finally defeated his opponent from Po Leung Kuk Chee Jing Yin Primary School with a score of 3-1, claiming the championship! 🥇

Impressive Performances in the Secondary Division:

Girls Singles:
✨ G7 Zhang Jiayu, as a very young player in the all Hong Kong Secondary Schools Jing Ying Tournament, showcased her extraordinary talent. In the semifinals, she defeated the top-seeded player from Diocesan Girls' Junior School. Jiayu performed exceptionally well throughout the competition. In the final match, she lost to her Hong Kong youth team teammate, Yeung Yee Lam Ashley, from Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School, ultimately securing the 1st Runner-up position! 🥈

Girls Doubles:
👏 G12 Fong Sum Yu and G10 Fong Sum Oi demonstrated outstanding performance and teamwork, successfully advancing to the semifinals. After facing a strong pair of opponents of Heep Yunn School, they fought hard and clinched 2nd Runner-up after winning against St. Mary’s Canossian College! 🥉

Boys Singles:
💪 G12 Tsoi Dijon Jack faced a challenging path throughout the tournament. He fought valiantly in each match, demonstrating great resilience and sportsmanship. Finishing in 4th place, Jack's determination and effort were truly commendable.

A massive congratulations to all our players for their hard work, determination, and incredible achievements! It is also the very first time that the Primary Division has secured the championships for both Boys and Girls Singles in All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Table Tennis Tournament!! All players’ efforts and achievements have truly made our school proud! 💙🏆
